The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is our primary source. Its data comes from annual surveys conducted by the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Every college, university, or technical school with access to federal financial aid must participate in these surveys, which include questions about enrollment, graduation rates, finances, and faculty qualifications. This is publicly available data, which you can access yourself through the College Navigator.

Principles of Integrated Marketing Communications
This course provides students with a broad overview of the theories and best practices related to public relations, corporate communications, advertising, and marketing. Students hone the research, planning, and creative skills they need to successfully integrate organizational communication efforts.
Social Media Marketing
Social media plays a critical role in the overall marketing strategies of many organizations. Rather than teaching students to master individual social media platforms, this course helps students understand the essential elements of broader social media outreach, including how to engage customers and how to appropriately respond to crises.
Marketing Research
In this class, students learn how to design and implement various marketing research tools. The course also offers an introduction to basic quantitative and qualitative analysis, with an emphasis on using survey data to understand customer preferences and needs. Students also hone data visualization skills, learning to share research findings with colleagues and senior leaders.
Consumer Behavior
Students in this course analyze the behavior of consumers as they search for, purchase, use, and dispose of products and services. The class combines instruction in human psychology with hard skill development in areas like designing behavioral research plans, managing customer focus groups, and translating data into actionable recommendations.
Strategic Brand Management
This course teaches students how to apply advertising and marketing concepts to branding. Topics include building and managing a product or organizational brand, promoting brand equity, and designing strategies that enhance or maintain brand resonance. Students also review case studies to learn how companies successfully rehabilitate damaged brands.

Professional organizations benefit online marketing degree students and graduates. These organizations often host local and national events that provide networking opportunities. American Marketing Association

Association of National Advertisers
ANA regularly convenes conferences on topics like business-to-business marketing, digital and social media outreach, and nonprofit communications. Sales and Marketing Executives International
Founded in 1935, SMEI is a global organization. In addition to offering online training courses and certification programs, SMEI hosts an annual conference, shares industry news, and advertises international job opportunities through its career center.
