Founded in 1837, MU ranks among the most affordable online colleges in West Virginia. The university enrolls more than 13,000 students across five campuses and educational centers. MU offers more than 100 associate, bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and professional programs, including many online degrees and certificates.

Online programs include four bachelor’s degrees and 13 graduate degrees. Baccalaureate majors include geography, medical laboratory science, and nursing for RNs. Students may also complete an online regents bachelor’s degree in general education or a major of the student’s choice. Master’s majors include education, business administration, and criminal justice. MU also offers an online Ed.D. in leadership studies.

MU features 12 online graduate certificates in disciplines such as math, management, and licensure and non–licensure teaching. The university charges the same per–credit tuition regardless of residency.
