Founded in 1851, the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities (U of M) boasts an enrollment of more than 51,000 students and has one of the largest main campus student bodies in the nation. The flagship of the University of Minnesota system, U of M also is known as one of America’s “Public Ivy” universities. The sea-grant, space-grant and land-grant research university offers a range of degree programs across 19 colleges and schools. The university also provides students with access to world-class online programs, allowing them to receive a quality education with the flexibility to earn their degree at their own pace. Through U of M, students can pursue a range of online programs from certificates to graduate degrees. Graduate program applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Most of U of M’s graduate programs also require an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0. Depending on the program, GRE scores, proof of English proficiency and letters of recommendation also may be required.
