Overview
A private research university based in Los Angeles, the University of Southern California (USC) serves a student body of more than 47,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Over 7,000 graduate students at USC take at least some portion of their courses online, with most of those students pursuing degrees exclusively through distance education. USC’s online offerings cater specifically to graduate students, with no distance learning opportunities available for undergraduates. However, USC online offers a wide variety of comprehensive graduate degrees, including programs in computer science, business, engineering, and law.

Accreditation and Approvals
The University of Southern California is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Many of USC’s online graduate programs also hold special programmatic accreditation. The master’s in nursing program, for example, holds programmatic accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and the doctor of physical therapy program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
