Accreditation and Approvals

Northeastern University is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
Many of its programs also hold accreditations, including those from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Psychological Association Commission on Accreditation.

Admissions and Transfer Info

Undergraduate applicants must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED). Applicants must submit high school transcripts, recommendations, SAT/ACT scores and a TOEFL score, if English is not their first language.

Transfer students must submit academic transcripts from each institution they’ve attended, college-level exam scores and a military evaluation, if applicable.

Graduate applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and have earned a 3.0 undergraduate GPA. They also must submit a written statement of purpose and career goals, a resume, three letters of recommendation and college transcripts. Some graduate programs also require GRE scores.

Applicants whose first language is not English also must submit TOEFL scores.

Doctoral applicants must submit academic transcripts, an admission statement, proof of three years of work experience, a professional resume, faculty and professional recommendations, and TOEFL scores, if applicable.
