The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB), a public, state university founded in 1973, enrolls about 6,000 students. Part of the University of Texas System, UTPB offers a host of bachelor, master and doctoral degrees through three colleges—the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Education and the College of Business and Engineering.
The university offers 10 bachelor’s degrees—including some degree-completion programs—in child and family studies, psychology, marketing, nursing, criminal justice and more. Some programs follow an accelerated format, allowing students to earn their degree in less time.
UTPB provides seven online master’s degrees, such as those in business administration, kinesiology, public administration, and bilingual/ESL education.
Students can complete online certification and endorsement programs.
UTPB offers some of its online programs through a collaboration with other University of Texas System universities.
Online students have access to career services, tutoring and the university’s bookstore.
UTPB does not offer online programs to Massachusetts residents.
The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is accredited by the Southern Association of College and Schools. Several of the programs also hold specialized accreditations, including those from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) and the Council of Social Work Education.
