Overview
The University of Oklahoma (OU), a co-educational, space-grant, public, research university, pre-dates the state of Oklahoma. Established in 1890, OU enrolls about 31,250 students and offers more than 300 undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as 75 doctoral programs and nearly two dozen first-professional majors. Through OU Outreach, which consists of the College of Professional and Continuing Education and the College of Liberal Studies, students can pursue nationally recognized programs focused on business and public services, community and social services, and education services.

University of Oklahoma Outreach's admission prerequisites and application requirements vary by program.
Those applying to the aviation program must be accepted to the University of Oklahoma, hold at least 24 hours of college credit and a combines GPA of 2.25.
Undergraduate applicants should have at least 24 hours of college credit and a 2.0 overall GPA. They must submit college transcripts from every college or university they've attended.
Applicants younger than 21 who are not active military and have fewer than 24 college credits must submit high school transcripts, ACT or SAT scores and college transcripts, if applicable.
Graduate program applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
Applicants also may be required to submit GPA, a statement of purpose, letters of recommendation and a resume.
