Accreditation and Approvals

University of Arizona is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Many of its programs also hold accreditations, including those from the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.


Undergraduate tuition -- $500-$610 in-state / $500-$610 out-of-state

Graduate tuition -- $650-$1,332 in-state / $650-$1,332 out-of-state

Admissions and Transfer Info

The University of Arizona's admission prerequisites and application requirements vary by program.

Arizona residents can apply for freshman admission through the Assured Admission process. These applicants also must attend a regionally accredited high school, rank in the top 25% of their graduating class and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have no course work deficiencies.

Non-residents and those who don't meet the Assured Admissions requirements are evaluated through UA's Comprehensive Review Process.

Freshman applicants must submit high school transcripts.

Freshman applicants seeking merit scholarships or who want to attend the UA Honors College, the College of Nursing or the College of Engineering also must submit SAT/ACT scores.

Transfer students must have at least 12 transferable college-level credits and submit high school and college transcripts. Those 21 or younger must have earned at least a 2.0 college/university GPA and a 2.5 high school GPA. Transfer students 22 and older must have at least a 2.0 GPA in post-high school courses.

Graduate school applicants must submit official college transcripts. UA's individual graduate programs also may have specific requirements, such as GRE scores.
