Part of the University of Alabama System, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a public research history founded in 1969. UAB's award-winning faculty teach 140 programs in a dozen academic divisions to students around the world. Its nationally respected degree programs provide students with engaging and innovative learning experiences. Established in 2013, the university's Division of eLearning and Professional Studies houses UAB Online. UAB Online provides working professionals with the flexibility to earn their degree while meeting personal and career commitments.

Admissions and Transfer Info
UAB Online's admission prerequisites and application requirements are the same as on-campus UAB programs and vary by program.
Freshman applicants must submit official high school transcripts and official ACT or SAT scores.
International students also must submit proof of English proficiency, unless English is their first language; and proof of their immigration status, if they're studying or living in the United States.
Transfer students must submit official transcripts from each college or university they've attended. If they completed college-level work in another country, they also must provide an evaluation by an approved credentials evaluation agency.
Transfer students must have a cumulative GRA of at least 2.0 after completing 24 semester hours and good academic standing. Those with fewer than 24 credit hours of transferrable credit must also meet the university's admissions requirements for freshmen.
Graduate applicants must hold a baccalaureate, graduate or professional degree from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent.
Graduate applicants must submit official transcripts from each post-secondary institution they've attended as well as official standardized test scores, such as GRE, MAT or GMAT.
International students also must submit TOEFL, IELTS or PTEA test scores.
Some graduate programs also require a personal essay, three letters of recommendation and a resume or curriculum vitae.
