TTU gives its online students flexibility both in course delivery and enrollment; students can choose to take one class per semester or enroll full-time.

Texas Tech University's admission prerequisites and application requirements vary by program. Some of the university's online bachelor's degree programs are degree-completion programs. Those require applicants to hold an associate degree from an accredited institution. Freshman applicants must submit high school and college transcripts, if applicable, as well as SAT/ACT scores. Depending on the program, graduate admission requirements include official test scores, such as the GRE; proof of English proficiency, such as TOEFL scores; letters of recommendation and a letter of intent.
