Ohio University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). More than 30 of the university’s programs possess accreditation from specialized accrediting agencies.

Ohio Online maintains several enrollment periods throughout the academic year. Prospective students who have completed more than nine semester hours or 12 quarter hours at a regionally accredited institution may apply as transfer students.
