Overview
Northern Arizona University, a public research university founded in 1899, began as a normal school and now offers more than 150 baccalaureate and graduate degree programs. With its main campus in Flagstaff, a branch campus in Yuma, AZ, community campuses across the state and online programs, students have access to NAU's high-quality education in Arizona and around the world. Tailored to the needs of working adults, NAU-Extended Campuses offers online programs with mostly asynchronous courses; however, some require students to log on at set times. NAU also offers self-paced Personalized Learning degree programs. The fully online, competency-based programs feature no set classes or schedules and weekly start dates.
