Belhaven University, a private, Christian, liberal arts university established in 1883, offers about three dozen undergraduate and graduate degree programs as well as pre-professional programs in medicine, dentistry, Christian ministry, nursing, and law. The university, which provides education from a Christian worldview, enrolls about 4,200 students.The Worldview Curriculum, which is at the center of Belhaven University's liberal-arts program, presents history, philosophy, art, and literature as one set of interconnected disciplines. The university is known for its art degrees and business school.

Belhaven University offers a variety of online degree options—a dozen undergraduate degrees such as those in nursing, Biblical studies, accounting and health administration; master’s degrees ranging from business administration to curriculum and instruction to public administration as well as several certificates.

The same faculty teach the university’s online and on-campus courses.

The university also grants credit for prior work experience and specialized military training.

The courses follow a cohort-based format with set assignment deadlines.

Online students can complete a bachelor’s degree in less than four years or a master’s degree in two years.

Belhaven University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). Several of its programs also hold specialized accreditation.
