Arkansas State University, a public research university founded in 1909, enrolls about 14,000 students in a full array of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. Now the flagship campus of the Arkansas State University System, ASU was initially founded as the First District Agricultural School, and went on to offer its first four-year program in 1930.
