The university is situated on one of the four campuses of the University of Nebraska.
UNMC has six colleges, two institutes, and over 3,400 students.
The university provides more than 20 programs, and offers two dual degree programs: an MD/Ph.D. program and an MD/MPH degree program.
UNMC provides Enhanced Medical Education Tracks for students who seek specialized training in areas such as aging, preventive medicine, HIV, and underserved healthcare. Researchers work in an array of fields, such as cancer, transplant medicine, genomics, and neurodevelopment.
The University of Nebraska Medical Center partners with the Nebraska Medical Center and is known for its rural medicine programs.
