Founded in 1925, the University of Baltimore (UB), a public institution located in the Mt. Vernon neighborhood of downtown Baltimore, Maryland, is part of the University System of Maryland.
UB has changed to a traditional university from an upper division university due to the Freshman Initiative or Lower Division Initiative.
