You may not be seeing your subscription to TBS News & Updates. We want to help you fix that.
TBS News & Updates goes out on Thursdays every other week. Changes to gMail and other popular email apps may cause those email services to route your subscription to a folder or category within the app where it may go unnoticed.
While every email application differs, in the desktop/web-based version of gMail, this is how to ensure you see our newsletter:
1. In gMail, select Settings from the cog icon in the upper right section of the gMail web-browser window:
2. In the Settings window, select the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab, and select Create a new filter :
3. In the filter creation pop-up, in the From text box, type in @thebestschools.org as shown below and select Create filter with this search :
4. In the second part of the filter creation pop-up, check Never send it to Spam. Then, check Categorize as and select Personal from the dropdown menu. Finally, click the button marked Create filter :
And you’re done! Now, TBS News & Updates will be assured of showing in your gMail inbox every other Thursday so you can keep informed of what is happening in education, from high school all the way to postdoc.
That’s the process for gMail on desktop/web. If you use the iOS or Android app of gMail, you will need to temporarily access the web version on your phone or tablet to create filters. If you use another email app, make sure to add thebestschools.org domain and firstname.lastname@example.org to the app’s whitelist. Consult your email app’s manual if you are unsure how to do this OR consult this guide at MailChimp for your specific email client.
